Plan is I'm going to get some exercise in since I'm terribly low on energy. Hopefully a bit of fresh air and exercise will do me good. Also going to catch up on my Bible reading and other books that have been collecting dust on my book shelf. I been neglecting to do that, I'm bad T^T
Hopefully I can get to all the artwork I owe people and add in a good deal of my own. As for RPing, I'm taking either an break or quitting for good. Right now, I'm not feeling too up to text RPing because of certain things in my life. I don't know how long this RP depression will last, but maybe I'll get out of it or quit for good. Don't worry, I'll still be on this account and popping in IM whenever I could. Don't think of this as a "cheer up" sorta thing. It's just a stage in my life to find myself again o__o
BTW, this is a very LATE Happy Birthday greeting to a long-time friend. Dude, EP

Movie thoughts: Star Trek
Well, saw the movie and liked it. It made me cry, gave me laughs, and entertained me, what a movie should do. I'm not a Star Trek fan, but my Dad is and I never mind Sci-Fi movies. As for the quality....*spoiler alert*
Time skips
There's a reason why Aristotle told people that time skips do not happen in a play. They get confusing and make the flow of events choppy. Times change and we developed a habit to do time skips to give background info on the characters which we don't mind much. Yet the beginning had 3 time skips instead of the usual 1 and more than 1 is too much. The flow in the beginning was too rocky for my tastes. The first sequence was necessary to open up the movie, but the childhood pasts was superfluous.
Alternate Reality
Now the Romulan aliens that time jumped into the past and caused an alternate reality to happen caused me to think Hollywood is using an excuse for it's usual shenanigans. It explains why the characters don't act like they usually do (for kicks, tickles and giggles) yet the biggest wtf moment for me was when Spock and Uhura had an romantic relationship. That's when I thought Hollywood was pushing it's creative boundaries. I may have only watched 1-2 episodes of Star Trek in my lifetime, but even I know that never happens. I even confirmed this with my Dad, the Star Trek collector, and, no, this doesn't happen. Hollywood Shenanigans...I at least give them credit for switching it up and giving the ensemble dark horse the girl, which usually goes to the hero. Still seemed like they just added the romantic ingredient without giving much thought. *insert Romance here* >_>;;
Giggle fits
Sci-Fi movies are suppose to make stuff up, wrap it in science terms and make us go "WOW! That sounds SOOPER smart!" This movie made me giggle more than giving me the awesome "that-sounds-scientifically-complicated" feeling. I usually like movies that make me laugh, but after thinking about it, Star Trek isn't suppose to make you laugh this much.
Overall, I give this movie a nice 8.5 cause it made me laugh. Unfortunately, I smell sequels questioning the canon Star Trek series since Hollywood introduced an Alternate Reality element. It's a good thing I don't know the series or I might get offended by that o_o but still, it's something to consider.
